FAQs

How does the Report Auction Fraud Service work?

The Report Auction Fraud Service relies on members of the public, the police, and businesses all working together, entering details of individuals who have committed auction fraud into the fraud database. This information is then available to anyone who wishes to search the database.

Who can use the Report Auction Fraud Service?

The Report Auction Fraud Service is available for any person who has registered with us worldwide.

What information is stored in the Report Auction Fraud database?

The database stores the details of people who have committed auction fraud. The details we store are names used for the Western Union / Moneygram withdrawal, address, postcode, email addresses, telephone number, mobile telephone number, fax number, the account number any money has been paid into (including sort code), credit/debit card number, account numbers from stolen cheques. We need to store these details to help the police should they choose to investigate.

What information do you hold about me in the Fraud database?

If you haven`t committed an auction fraud, then we will have no details about you in our fraud database. You can request a copy of the details we hold about you in any of our databases. To do this please send a cheque made payable to Early Warning (UK) Ltd. for £10.00 with a letter requesting a copy of your details. Please include an original utility bill (not a photocopy), which we will return to prove your identity. We will respond to your request within 28 days.

Why do I have to register to use the Report Auction Fraud Service?

We require you to register so that we know who is using the Report Auction Fraud Service, and so that we or the police can contact should we or they need to do so.

Why do the police have access to the Report Auction Fraud database?

The police worldwide are allowed access to the Report Auction Fraud database so that it can be used as a investigative tool. Our systems automatically link certain pieces of information together from records, and show patterns and trends which are most useful to law enforcement agencies.

What security measures do you use to protect the database?

Our website is covered by an SSL Certificate, which along with other security measures means we have the same security as a banking website. So you can be assured our entire data base and web service is properly protected

Why can`t I buy just 1 search credit?

Our current price per search is 50p. We have found that most people would prefer to buy 4 or more credits at one time, saving the time and inconvenience of having to purchase more credits when they require to use our services in the future. All credits purchased are allocated to your account.

How do I contact you

Contact is by email only and we endeavour to reply to emails within 48hrs of receipt.
